Thank you to Dan Savage for his final line in this piece
The video I posted isn't working I guess, so I'll post two links that are worth the watch. One funny yet true, the other very moving.
moving:
funny:
edit: When I say the funny one is true, I should point out that I'm referring to the last exchange between the two of them. Dan had some really great things to say.

ReplyDeleteAnother good clip (And it's on Mr. Cooper's show!!! Bonus!):

I'm glad to see the guy resigned from his job. Not because he was a bad person, but because it will finally start to speak to people, that we have the right to fight back, just as much as the next person. Because while we may get treated like second class citizens, we are still citizens.
ReplyDeleteAnd the other clip was just awesome too! The banter back and forth sure didn't do much for the bigot, but it was entertaining and brought up some very good issues.
That and Dan Savage AND Anderson Cooper on the same stage? Hello? It would be too much for me to handle live. ;)
I actually almost didn't send the link. I found the struggle to talk over each other (on both sides) annoying.
ReplyDeleteThen I remembered who the host was...
uhhh... Tony Perkins is a QUACK!
ReplyDelete"You strip me of my rights, and I interrupt you. Who's really suffering here?" BRILLIANTLY STATED!
I'm straight and this whole thing just pisses me off.
